The Symposium meetup provides a platform for those who wish to partake in and learn from discussion with others. It will appeal to those who like asking questions … and who like questioning the answers.
In Ancient Greece, a symposium was a convivial gathering of symposiasts after a meal, typically with drinks flowing to encourage the festivities – ie, a drinking party!
The Symposium by Plato recounts a lively discussion and debate about the philosophy of love (https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Symposium_(Plato)) (or more specifically, erotic love). Xenophen also wrote a light-hearted dialogue called The Symposium which covered a wide range of topics (http://www.perseus.tufts.edu/hopper/text?doc=Perseus%3Atext%3A1999.01.0212%3Atext%3DSym.%3Achapter%3D1).
The Symposium meetup provides a platform for those who wish to engage in discussion with others on philosophical questions from love (which arguably was the starting point of our creation) to death (the end-point), and all the important questions we face in between!
Bring yourself, and above all, an open-mind: a willingness ask questions and question the answers.
